Your School or College Group
  Dear Administrator:
Do you know students who have bought into many of the cheap, short-lived highs offered in our media sources such as music, television, movies, video games, and the internet? Do you desire to challenge students and guide them into meaningful dialog?

Welcome to the hottest school assembly in North America:
Beneath The Surface© is a multi-media school assembly examining the latest trends of popular culture in an effort to help students, parents, educators, ministers and others who communicate and work with teenagers.  Just as the title suggests, students are challenged to look deeper as they interact and wrestle with the cultural issues of our day, specifically, those concerning today’s media.

Issues covered include: Sexual choices and the media; Drugs & Alcohol and other addictions we face; Exposure to violence in the media and its effects; Suicide/Self-Mutilation/Cutting/Eating Disorders; Bullying, its many faces and how to diffuse it; Pornography and its effects; Positive music choices; and more…

The Beneath The Surface© seminar can be done in a variety of ways such as:
*One 60-90 minute assembly (This is a fast-moving overview)
*Classroom settings with CJ interacting with students in discussion
*Student leader retreat with multiple sessions & discussion
*Workshop with administration & teachers

As an educator, I understand your desire to plan assemblies that make a lasting impression on students. My desire is to impact your teenagers and see lives changed. My hope is to also educate adults with the messages I offer.

Thanks again for your consideration in utilizing me as a speaker at your school.

Diving Deeper,
CJ

PUBLIC SCHOOLS

“Dear CJ, As I listened to your presentation, I realized a couple of things.  First, that this was exactly the message I wanted my students to hear at the beginning of the school year.  Second, you have helped to identify for me mistakes that I have made in raising my own two sons.  Thank you so much for the enlightenment.
Scott W. Hall,
Principal, Vanlue Schools, Vanlue, OH

“We had the opportunity to have C.J. Hitz at our middle school Positive Addiction Day.  He tackled very timely and important issues with the students-their entertainment choices.  C.J. challenges young people to consider what effects media is having on them.  It is a very current program that looks at the examples of music, music artists, TV, movies, video games and its overall effect on kids.  I would recommend this program for all middle and high school kids as a way of giving them alternative choices.  I would also encourage parents and teachers to view this program because it keeps them aware of what is REALLY going on in the lives of young people.  Overall, a great program.”
Melissa Prichard,
Counselor, Spencerville Middle School,
Spencerville, OH

“I really enjoyed your presentation.  You had many good things to say and the students listened to what you had to say.  You encouraged them to think about the types of things they are listening to and watching.
Craig M. Hurley,
Assistant Principal, Upper Scioto Valley Schools,
McGuffey, OH

“CJ’s presentation was excellent!  He grabbed our students’ attention right from the beginning and I saw no one misbehaving during the assembly.”
Edna Conkling,
Teacher, Upper Scioto Valley School,
McGuffey, Ohio

“This message really impacted me…Before C.J. came to our town, I never realized there was so much positive music out there.  I’ve decided to be more careful in the decisions I make.”
Jarvis,
High School Student, San Pedro, Belize
